Another highlight for OMSI-2 fans is in the starting blocks: The popular bus line 186 of the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) will soon be available as an add-on for the renowned bus simulation.With a route length of around 17 kilometers, line 186 is one of the longest lines in the BVG network.

It connects the picturesque Grunewald, leads through the lively district of Steglitz and ends in Lichterfelde.
More than 40 stops are approached.

The 186 line offers an impressive variety of cityscapes. It starts in the quiet villa districts of the Grunewald, leads through typical Berlin residential areas and also passes through commercial areas, including the striking combined heat and power plant on the route.
Until the finish line in Lichterfelde, the transition to a metropolitan environment in Steglitz follows.
This varied route promises an exciting and realistic gaming experience.

During the development of the card, special attention was paid to performance.
Specially designed intersections as 3D objects should ensure a liquid display even in densely built-up areas.
The developers have been working on this project for several months and are doing everything they can to make the atmosphere and the richness of detail of Berlin virtually tangible.

The release of the add-on is planned for 2025.
In the future, a specially published developer diary will provide insights into the progress of the work.

Details of a possible supplied bus and the price will be announced at a later date.

For fans of OMSI 2 and Berliner Nahverkehrsromantik, line 186 is a promising project that makes the diversity and dynamics of the capital virtually tangible.
