Currently I'm working on a further development of a work car, the tractor No. 3991 for Lotus.
To the model of the 3D model:
The tractor No. 3991 was built in 1947 as one of two battery railcars. Main field of application was the debris removal in Hamburg after the Second World War. With these cars you could drive without current lines without overhead line. Later, both cars were rebuilt, losing the battery equipment. One of the cars was converted into a curve-lubricating car, keeping its old appearance as far as possible. The sister vehicle no. 3991, on the other hand, was converted to a towing vehicle, while being considerably modernized on the outside.
Both cars came after setting the tram operation with other trains to the former German tram museum to Hanover. There they stood for decades outdoor, which has added significantly to the vehicles. No. 3991 was later scrapped. The sister car no. 3981 has survived, was resold and is now privately owned.
No. 3991 plays an important role for "Hamburg '78" because it was Hamburg's very last tram that was on the Hamburg network.
This railcar pulled on the last day of operation, after the farewell festivities, and even after the officially last passenger railcar, the former salt car no. 4992 from the Rathausmarkt.
The salt car, built in 1926, was sold to the hamburgers there as a "horse tram from 1880" and had to be towed back to the depot in Lokstedt in the evening.
