After around a 10-year hiatus, Bowdenham is back. In this version of Bowdenham, the map has been fully converted into a proper UK style with correct side of the road driving. As many of the German elements have been removed and replaced with quality UK content that has been provided by the OMSI community. The "structure" of the map itself hasn't really changed, this is more of a complete refresh to bring it up to modern standards. However, some areas have had more attention than others. There is one controversial aspect of the map that needs to be noted, it is no longer based in South Yorkshire. The map has been based upon a fictional area on the outskirts of London, on the Kent border. Think of Bowdenham as another Orpington or Dartford-style town. The map features both Transport for London and regional routes operated by Go-Ahead London, Abellio London and Stagecoach Southeast. The reason for this change is that I am a born and bred Londoner and the desire had always been to have Bowdenham as a fictional recreation of outer London. However, at the time there was very little quality London based assets that would have been suitable. I know this will upset a few people, but to create a map requires a huge amount of dedication and passion. Bringing Bowdenham to London gave me that passion back. There are no more chronos anymore as these are a complete pain to work with and are very difficult to maintain a stable map. There are Unfortunately the old-style announcements still being used, as I don't have the skill or time to update them. I'm sure the community will be able to come up with something more suitable. I haven't had time to make maps or timetables I'm afraid. If you like what you see, consider throwing a few pennies my way to help me buy a pint! Its always appreciated:-
